current headache.. lol

So we went fishing in Astoria on Wednesday and Saturday. The main motor has been on the blink for a week, it seems to be running on two (of three) cylinders. Saturday I went to start the 6hps Tohatsu and the rope didn't recoil. The motor ran great as always but when it was time to stop the rope was fried. I popped the cap and removed the recoil, no problem. Just like the racing days, I tied a knot in the rope and wrapped it around the flywheel. Like normal the motor started right up, so we continued to fish. I am taking the motor to the dealer tomorrow and will let everyone know how that goes.
For the main motor I have a appointment on Sept. 1st. I am taking it to the dealer I bought it from on the other side of town because the last dealer to work on it didn't solve the problem. I will let everone know who the dealers are after the problem is resolved.

motors

So I am running a 90hp mercury optimax on a 19ft aluminum boat. Truth be told I would like a bit larger motor but this was a great deal. I bought my main motor last year when my 90 force died, I called it the anchor (lol). That motor always had trouble starting and then I hit a sand bar in the Nehailem Bay and sucked sand into the impeller. I was hoping it would keep working but no luck. I found the new motor at a dealer for $6000 plus parts, then I added the mercury extended warranty and so I am good for 6 years. I just had my first repair and 3 $20 plugs(right). I love the fact that it starts like a car, turn key and boom (hahaha). It never leaves me hanging, even if it works at half power.
